The Latino Policy Institute (LPI) at Roger Williams University seeks to stimulate public policy discourse by objectively examining and communicating the evolving Latino experience in Rhode Island.

Within the next five years, LPI will work to expand its reach and influence by focusing on specific topic areas and activities that will demonstrate and communicate the evolution and intersectional issues of the Latino community in our state and nationwide

Through extensive research studies and meta-analysis, the Latino Policy Institute generates non-partisan data of Latinos in Rhode Island.

Education
Through the information we present, Latinos’ social, economic and civic contributions to the state of Rhode Island can be better documented and understood.

Advocacy
By generating and communicating data of Latinos in Rhode Island, we hope to stimulate public policy discourse and be a reliable source to state decision makers.
